Moissanite
A moissanite is its own unique gemstone, just as sapphires and emeralds are their own unique gemstones. Moissanite, however, boasts a similar durability to a diamond, as well as an uncanny visual resemblance to a diamond, making it the perfect alternative for fine jewellery.
Moissanite is a more affordable option when compared to lab grown diamonds, ranging between $620 to $5,000+, allowing you to indulge in your dream design and a larger carat size, without exceeding a reasonable budget. The perfect choice for somebody who desires the highest quality diamond alternative, that is ethical and attainable.
Lab Grown Diamond
Carat
Carat refers to the weight of a diamond or gemstone. One carat equals 200 milligrams and is divided into 100 ‘points’. While larger carat weights typically indicate larger stones, visual size also depends on the gemstone’s shape, cut and density. All else being equal, diamond prices generally increase with carat weight, as larger diamonds are rarer.
Moissanite and diamonds have different densities, meaning a moissanite and diamond of the same carat weight will not necessarily be the same size. For this reason, we use carat equivalent when describing our moissanite. Our moissanite carat equivalents are based on the visual size of an equivalent diamond carat weight on the hand. s means, a 2 carat moissanite will visually appear the same on the hand as a 2 carat lab-grown diamond, irrespective of the actual weight.
Colour
Colour is a natural characteristic of every diamond, influenced by trace elements during its growth. The industry standard D to Z scale grades a diamond’s colour alphabetically, from D (Colourless) through to Z (Light Yellow).
At TMC, we work with colourless diamonds within the D-F colour range. These gemstones are selected for their exceptional brightness and quality. Our Signature Moissanite gemstones are also D colour, reflecting the highest colour grade of a diamond.
We also offer a selection of coloured moissanite and coloured lab-grown diamonds.
Clarity
Clarity refers to the inclusions found in a gemstone. These can occur during the growth methods utilised when created in a laboratory. Our Eternal Brilliance Moissanite boasts a clarity of VVS1.
Faceting
Faceting refers to how the gemstone has been cut and determines the internal appearance of the stone itself, rather than the shape. Moissanite gemstones can be cut and faceted to change the stone’s overall visual appearance, including its fire and brilliance.
Bespoke Customisations
A bespoke customisation is the perfect way to make your ring truly one of a kind. Choose from a pavé band, hidden halo or pavé bridge, with customisation options varying depending on the design. Our bespoke customisations are available in both moissanite or lab-grown diamond.

Yellow Gold
14 karat yellow gold is made up of 58.5% pure gold, and 41.5% alloy. 14 karat is a beautiful yellow gold option with a soft, golden hue.
18 karat yellow gold is made up of 75% pure gold and 25% alloy. 18 Karat has a slightly richer yellow tone.
Rose Gold
14 karat rose gold contains 58.5% pure gold and 41.5% alloy, primarily copper. It has a beautiful soft and subtle rose colour.
18 karat rose gold contains 75% pure gold and 25% alloy, primarily copper. 18 karat rose gold is more lustrous and has a deeper rose hue.
White Gold
Both 14 karat and 18 karat white gold look identical in appearance, as they are plated in rhodium. Just like their yellow gold counterparts, 14 karat contains 58.5% pure gold and 41.5% alloy and 18 karat contains 75% pure gold and 25% alloy.
Platinum
Platinum is a naturally white metal, is denser and a more durable metal compared to its white gold counterparts. Our platinum is of the highest purity, 95% pure platinum and 5% alloy.

Prongs also known as claws, are what wraps around the gemstone and secures it perfectly in place. We offer four signature prong styles, with availability depending on your chosen design.

Faceting
Faceting refers to how the gemstone has been cut and determines the internal appearance of the stone itself. Unlike diamonds, which are cut to maximise carat weight, moissanite gemstones are cut and faceted to maximise the divine fire and brilliance we all adore. Depending on the chosen cut, two stones in the same shape can appear quite differently, as the contrast between white light and the dispersed coloured light within the gemstone also differs.
Brilliant Cut Faceting
The brilliant cut is optimised to refract the most light, and therefore sparkle the most. Light will go down into the centre of the stone, reflect off of the clear and precise facets, and come back out through the stone.

Crushed Ice Faceting
A crushed ice moissanite stone has a multitude of small, randomised facets within the pavilion of the stone. Typically, the light will reflect multiple times inside the stone, sometimes exiting instead of reflecting back up.

Old Mine Faceting
Old mine cut moissanites have a beautiful, unique appearance that dates back to an era when diamonds were cut and polished by hand. Their deep, large facets produce a unique fire, giving the cultured gemstone a softer look than modern brilliant gemstone cuts.

Old European Faceting
The old european cut is a round gemstone cut. Primarily cut between 1890-1930, this faceting type has a softer look than modern brilliant gemstone cuts and is easily recognizable by the small circle at the centre of the diamond's table.

Rose cut gemstones boast a domed table covered in distinctive triangular facets. The fewer facets of a rose cut diamond result in the subtle beauty of a soft diffused light - a divine choice for those dreaming of something truly unique.

Step Cut Faceting
Step cut faceting is distinctive to the Emerald and Asscher cut gemstones wherein the gemstone is produced with flat steps or 'rows' of four-sided facets parallel to the girdle. Striking and regal, the emerald cut is reminiscent of the 1920's era.

For clients located interstate, internationally, or away from one of our showrooms, we offer complimentary express insured shipping. Every parcel requires a signature upon delivery, ensuring your piece is securely received. If you're unavailable, your order will be safely redirected to your nearest post office for collection.
