Gemstone shape refers to the stone’s physical form or outline, such as oval, round, emerald or cushion. While often confused with cut, shape describes the silhouette of the gemstone rather than how it has been faceted.

Shape plays an important role in the overall look of your ring, influencing how the gemstone appears on the hand and how it complements the setting. Each shape interacts differently with light, showcasing the gemstone’s hue, brilliance and fire in its own way.

Metal Types

Each piece in our Signature Range is crafted in solid precious metals, never hollow, filled or plated. At TMC, we primarily work with 14 karat gold, 18 karat gold and platinum (PT950). We also utilise 9 karat gold and zirconium for men’s wedding rings, and sterling silver for select fine jewellery pieces.

Each metal has its own characteristics, including colour, hardness and durability, allowing you to choose the metal that best suits your aesthetic and lifestyle.
