Lauren and Clarke’s Love Story

Lauren and Clarke’s story began as schoolmates but truly blossomed years later when a chance reunion on a night out rekindled a spark that had always been there. After many wonderful years together, Clarke planned a heartfelt proposal during a serene farm stay in the stunning Sunshine Coast hinterland, and they tied the knot shortly after in October 2024.
We’re delighted they shared the details of their love, proposal, and wedding day magic with us!
All great love stories have a beginning, so tell us yours! How did you meet?
Our paths crossed many times before our actual official meeting in 2016. Clarke and I went to the same school, with Clarke being in the grade above me. We knew of each other but never had any exchanges until many years later when, flicking through a dating app, I saw him appear. Shortly after, I received a message saying “Hey, I know you!”.
While our initial interaction online soon phased out due to my hesitance to dive back into the dating world, destiny brought us together a couple of months later when we locked eyes across a nightclub dance floor. Clarke came over, introduced himself, and promised to take me on a date the following week, and the rest is history!

Picture the most beautiful farm stay nestled in the Sunshine Coast hinterland — cows, horses, and chickens roaming around. It was a Friday afternoon. After checking in to our Airbnb, we took a paddle in the rowboat on the lake as the sun began to set.
As Clarke paddled us towards the dock, we decided to put together a nibbles platter and champagne, of course. After a toast to us, Clarke got down on one knee and popped the question! As butterflies filled my tummy, the answer was always going to be YES!
It's been an honour to play a small part in your love story so far. What made you choose TMC and how did you decide on your ring design?
Our good friends highly recommended your business after their amazing experience. Clarke and I were shopping for wedding bands and struggling to find a band for me that sat beautifully with my engagement ring.
After booking a consultation and falling in love with our dream wedding bands, TMC was able to re-craft the setting of my engagement ring and craft my wedding band to pair perfectly together! For Clarke's wedding band, his heart was set on a stunning brushed gold band, but it was important to him to have a family gem — a stone from one of my treasured rings — discreetly set inside the band so it would always be close to him. TMC made this happen, and we couldn’t be happier with how our forever rings turned out!
You've chosen to spend the rest of your lives together, so what is it that you love most about each other & your relationship?
Clarke is just the most exceptional person. The love and support he makes me feel daily have encouraged me to become a more confident version of myself and helped our relationship blossom over the past eight years. He is my best friend — the most gentle, calm, positive, and supportive life partner. He makes every day brighter! - Lauren
I love that I was lucky enough to marry my best friend! We have the most loving relationship. Our communication is a big part of what makes our marriage amazing. We protect each other. We also have a playful relationship and don’t take everything too seriously. We are very lucky to have the love we do. - Clarke
We heard you have recently tied the knot, we'd love to hear all about it!
We got married in October 2024! We feel so grateful to have been able to get married in Maleny, a place that is very special to both of us. We had a small wedding of 40 people at Maleny Manor and were lucky enough to have so many talented vendors make our vision a reality! We even had our fur baby Bear attend as our ring bearer.
